Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University and was admitted to practice in both the ACT and New South Wales in 2008. He comes to the law after an extensive career in journalism. Andrew has reported on many aspects of Canberra life, particularly regarding the Courts and politics.
Andrew grew up in the Australian Capital Territory during the 1960s & 1970s and has spent the major part of his working life in the National Capital and knows Canberra well. He has been, in his former life as a journalist, a Senior Editorial Executive at The Canberra Times between 1988 and 2003 and later was a National Political Correspondent. Andrew has close contacts with both the Canberra decision makers and many members of the city’s growing community.
Andrew practices in the areas of Criminal and Traffic law with the firm. He has undertaken the Australian Institute of Advocacy Workshop.
Andrew is a father of two young adults and two toddlers. His interests include tennis, the beach and very occasionally bag piping. He is a life member of the ACT Masters Australian Football Team.
