Tim Sharman graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws in 1996. He completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practise in 1998. He has worked exclusively as a criminal lawyer since 1999.

Tim has appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court, ACT Supreme Court, and New South Wales Local, District and Supreme Courts. Tim has wide experience in plea matters, conducting hearings, running appeals, and preparing trials.  Tim also undertakes Court of Appeal work.

Tim’s extensive practise includes clients facing traffic as well as criminal offences. Tim is currently an instructor at the Australian National University Law School, teaching advocacy to law students. Tim has been an instructor since 2006.  He is also a member of the ACT Law Society’s Criminal Law Committee and has been since 2003.

Tim has a well deserved reputation for excellence in the practice of criminal law.  He is well regarded by his peers and his many clients.  He brings a friendly and professional approach to all his dealings with clients and their pending legal matters.

Tim is a keen family man who takes pride in raising his two children. Tim also enjoys playing social sports such as touch football and AFL in his spare time.
